Whether your wedding is an intimate affair amongst close friends and family or a large occasion for all to share, we will have a room and format to ensure you have a spectacular day.
The ceremony is conducted by a Registrar and the couple will need to give notice of their intention to marry at the Register Office before the ceremony takes place. There are formal contractual words which must be included in the ceremony in order to create the legal contract of marriage.
Otherwise, the couple is at liberty to add sentiments and prose of their own choosing and include suitable music and readings. The bride may be attended by bridesmaids and page boys and given away in the traditional fashion. Witnesses are required for the signing of the register which takes place towards the end of the ceremony.
The Ponsbourne Hotel allows you the flexiblity to either choose us solely for your reception or for both the ceremony and the reception. There are rules which surround the formality of the ceremony in law but out staff and the registrar can guide you through these. With our range of guest bedrooms, beautiful grounds and award-winning cuisine, you really can have it all.
